Otherwise, you run the risk of inferior floors, concrete problems, or working with a vendor who just doesn’t know what they’re doing.

Coatings
Epoxy Systems
Heavy duty epoxy-based systems not only upgrade the look of your floor, but they also increase the resiliency to stains and hide minor imperfections. Epoxy-based floor systems give you many colors to choose from as well as the option to add quartz or paint chips - giving you a wide array of design options.
High Performance Floors
When it comes to designing a high performance floor - one that is capable of withstanding the abuse that comes from high use and high traffic - Black Bear Coatings & Concrete provides our customers with the highest performing concrete floor coating systems available.
Polyaspartic Systems
Polyaspartic systems are increasing in popularity because they can prevent water penetration - minimizing corrosion - with an application that is dramatically faster than traditional epoxy floors.
Cementitious Self-Leveling Systems
Cementitous self-leveling concrete systems provide an effective and efficient way of smoothing leveling and providing a canvas for additional colors and treatments.
Comprised of cement, aggregate and sometimes additional chemicals or dry polymer for water add-mixtures, self leveling overlay materials are designed to smooth out and seek their own level so that after the material is applied it can be left to settle before it sets up and hardens.Rubber Floor Systems
Rubber floors are an excellent choice for rooms with heavy furniture and extremely high traffic. Sweeping and an occasional wash is the only maintenance required to keep a rubber floor looking new. Rubber floors have been known to last upwards of 30 years, even in busy school gymnasiums.
Trowel-down Epoxy
Trowel-down epoxy solutions are designed to address areas exposed to severely abrasive and high impact conditions. Trowel-down epoxy resurfaces deteriorated concrete and addresses sever wear requirements, all while minimizing downtime.
Patch and Blend
We also offer fast-drying concrete patch and blend concrete and coatings. These blends are fast and easy to install and are ideal for concrete repair work that requires immediate dry time - perfect to fix cracking/flaking concrete, fill holes in driveways, or other concrete repairs.
Feathered Finishes
Feathered finish solutions provide a smooth, permanent finish to a variety of substrates prior to the installation more demanding coatings and floor coverings. These finishes allow the installation of most floor coverings in as little as 15 minutes over concrete, wood, ceramic, and quarry tile - without priming or the use of a latex additive. Using this unique technology, flooring installation problems associated with dis-bonding, crumbling, mildew, and staining are eliminated, thus preserving the floor manufacturer's full product warranty.
Mitigation Systems
Too often, moisture tests performed today are subject to change because they are really only a "snapshot in time," and the moisture can change. Black Bear's advanced moisture mitigation testing measures the relative humidity of the slab much deeper than industry-accepted tests, helping to minimize the risk of potential future problems.
Concrete
Resurfacing
Don't remove your concrete; resurface it! Even just a few years ago, most contractors would remove existing concrete floors and surfaces and install a new one. But with the advances in concrete resurfacing - technologies, techniques, and finishes - you can bring existing concrete to life and gain a surface you will truly love.
Acid and chemical stains
Staining concrete is one of the most popular applications for transforming concrete slabs. Often referred to as colored concrete, homeowners, designers and builders are drawn to stained concrete because of the unique outcome that can be achieved combining colors, application techniques, etc., on cement flooring and other substrates.
Decorative overlays
There are a variety of decorative overlay options to cover concrete driveways, pool decks, patios, walkways, or just about any other concrete surface. Colors, too: decorative overlays can look like brick, stone, flagstone, or other patterns. You can even resurface a border with a different pattern than the interior - an effective way to provide transitions and highlights.
Surface restoration
Take advantage of Black Bear's expertise in a full range of surface restoration products and approaches to resurface, restore, protect, and beautify existing concrete and other surfaces.
Concrete countertops
Concrete countertops are quickly becoming the most popular material - both for functionality and appearance - for countertops. Concrete countertops offer easy maintenance and their almost-limitless design flexibility.
Stamped concrete
Stamped concrete, commonly referred to as patterned concrete or imprinted concrete, is concrete that is designed to resemble brick, slate, flagstone, stone, tile and even wood. Perfect for patios, walkways, entries, pool decks, even stairs!
Wall stamps
New cementitious wall overlay materials now let you achieve the same stamping effect but on vertical surfaces such as high-profile walls, fireplaces, retaining walls, and more.
Broom finish
Broom finishes have been used for many years and provide a durable, high-traction surface. Broom finish concrete is extremely durable and can add an artful addition to your home's exterior. A proper brushing technique is an art form and can give the concrete texture and reduce slips. Broom finish concrete is the most commonly used form in both residential and commercial construction.
Spray texture
Spray texture systems provide a more attractive finish that regularly finished concrete and can be applied less expensively than it would take to remove and replace existing concrete. The most popular uses for spray texture systems are to provide a decorative, slip-resistant finish on pool decks, driveways, balcony decks, and walkways.
